For one night only, we're passing the reigns to our friend Erik Westra! A longtime art collector and catalyst in the rock poster scene, Erik spent many years employed at First Avenue as well as Chicago's Empty Bottle, where he connected the venues and touring bands with up and coming poster artists such as Jay Ryan, Aaron Horkey, Aesthetic Apparatus, and our own Wes Winship.

Over the years, Erik amassed a gigantic collection of rock posters and he has decided to let go of a few of his gems. We're talking seriously hard-to-find gig posters and rock art here. Maybe you were there that night for the show and it has always stuck in your mind. Maybe you were at another show on that tour and having a shred of that experience on your wall will coat your 9-5s with a little glitter. Or maybe you don’t give a rip about Interpol but that haunting Aesthetic Apparatus screen-print is speaking to you on a level completely separate from the event.

These posters mark a moment in time where designers, musicians, venues, and fans collided to create some incredible art. And whether you were a part of that moment or a million miles separate from the scene: there is something for everyone among Westra’s collection.More than 150 prints will be available for purchase and a handful will be up for auction, ending the night of the show. A portion of sales from the event will be donated to COMPAS, a Minnesota-based non-profit arts education organization.

As you might imagine, each of these prints has a story to tell, one such story is available here.

Here’s a preview some of the posters from the show!
